A force to be reckoned with, two highly talented and creative individuals who not only have an amazing ability to exceed all their client’s expectations, in terms of their interior designs, but also create environments that bring a relaxed sense of wellbeing to all who enter in them.

CAROL GEARING

IDC’s founder Carol,  has amassed a wealth of design experience and expert product knowledge since graduating from the Inchbald School of Design in 1983. With an insatiable appetite for art, design and new media, Carol is constantly travelling and drawing inspiration from exhibitions, museums, art fairs, historic houses, film, textiles, etc. worldwide, resulting in design schemes that are fresh and inventive.

Carol formed IDC in 1993 to provide a well-oiled service specifically tailored to high end interiors throughout the UK. Having worked on numerous private homes and for many high end property developers, over the years she has consistently produced schemes that leave her clients bowled over.  The IDC team prides itself on its professionalism and attention to detail, not to mention its proven ability to work within the clients’s budgets and deadlines, which have led IDC to concentrate their energies on large projects within the Leisure/Care Industry.

KIRSTY GEARING

Carol’s daughter, Kirsty, joined the team in December 2007 to assist with the large contract projects that have come on board and with the development of IDC’s own portfolio of artworks and photography.  Kirsty left London and a career in freelance PR in 1998 to travel around Argentina, where she lived for four years, setting up and running her own furniture business. She has since completed four years study in Horticulture and Garden Design.  The neatest of plan drawers, Kirsty has a real hawk’s eye for detail and will notice the slightest flaws that need attention.
